The Commercial Hotel burnt down Sunday 11 March 1962. The Licencing act required that a tempory bar be provided within 24 hours or the licence would lapse. This bar was set up in a storage shed on the hotel property with the help of local patrons and other intersted parties. Here patrons have gathered to paint the interior.
