Francis Joseph Gleeson was a member of the New Zealand police force sent to Western Samoa in 1930 at the time of the Mau uprising against the New Zealand Administration. These photographs record a short stay he and his collegues made to Falelatai on the south coast of Upolo at the western end of the Island.
