Sergeant Marshall gives day-to-day descriptions of his visit to a wireless station near Apia during the Occupation of Samoa in the First World War. Comments on his fellow soldiers, recreational activities like playing chess, sporting events and military duties. Marshall served as an Armourer Sergeant with the 5th Regiment. Diary begins 4 Oct 1914 and continues until 26 Oct 1914.
