The topics include local government, anthropology, colonial policies, the World Bank, self-government, archaeology, alcohol, industrial relations, oceanic voyaging and mission economic interests.

After qualifying as a minister and helping organise the Student Christian Movement in Australia 1954-1955, Fardon was appointed Minister of Rabaul Memorial Church, TPNG in 1956 and was posted as Circuit Minister at Gaulim, New Britain from 1966 to 1968. Fardon served at the Ela-Boroko United Church in Port Moresby from 1969 until his return to Australia in 1974. Fardon retired in 1984.
