Small head and shoulders portrait of Elizabeth, the wife of the Reverend Charles Pitman. She wears a black highwaisted dress, with high white collar. On her head is a lace bonnet attached with a black ribbon bow at the neck, and brown pincurls show beneath the front and sides of the bonnet.
