Description

Shows three small scenes in each of which a parent teaches their children a different subject by using their interest in horse racing and betting to make the subject relevant. One teaches arithmetic by having his children work out his betting wins, another teaches history by telling his son when Sir Tristram, a racehorse landed in New Zealand and a third teaches Maori by having the children learn the Maori names of race courses. Refers to National Finance spokesperson, Ruth Richardson's call to parents to take their children's education seriously.
