Papers reflect the whole range of Harcourt's activities. They include correspondence; scripts of numerous radio; recordings relating to his various activities; theatre and television productions; papers relating to his membership of various groups, including the New Zealand Writers' Guild, Friends of the Turnbull Library and St James Theatre Trust and research notes and drafts of his various publications as well as work in progress, including a history of New Zealand musicals, 1880-1990.
