Caption - Evening Post story accompanying this photograph reads: 'A "knobbly kneed" milk vendor has challenged the deputy chairman of the Hutt Milk Corporation Mr Lawrie Woodley to go out on his milk round. The challenge follows Mr Woodley's call today to milk vendors to smarten their image. With the price of milk going up, vendors had to work harder to retain their share of the market. Mr Woodley said "knobbly kneed" vendors in shorts and sandshoes and "pimply faced youths" in football jerseys were no longer acceptable..."
