Description: Transparency slides of Australia selected by Mr Williams as a representative collection to be used in a series of lectures on his return to England. This sheet shows a copy of a photograph of totemic markings on a group of Aboriginal totemic actors from the Southern Aranda area taken by T.G.H. Strehlow; Australian plants; corals, anemone guard fish, starfish, clams, crayfish and a giant hermit crab on Great Barrier Reef; and Green Island. These are followed by copies of maps of Australia including the East Coast, oceans around Australia and New Zealand, and maps showing climate, vegetation and population of Australia. The slides are not from Mr Williams' original numbered sequence. Arrangement: These slides were selected by Mr Williams from his original sequence to create a representative collection of Australian images which he used in illustrated lectures on his return to England.
