Portrait of Tuka Orangi, [or Tuka Aorangi?] circa 1900. Photograph by Hardie Shaw Studios.
Portrait of an elderly Māori man wearing a korowai (tag cloak). He is balding with white hair and a moustache, and moko. Original photograph likely to have been taken by William Henry Thomas Partington, circa 1900, probably in the Whanganui region.
Previously wrongly identified as Patara Te Tuhi. The man has also been identified as Hairawanui. The same image is held by the Whanganui Museum where he is identified as Tuka Aorangi of Ngāti Pamoana, Koroniti. He is identifed as Tuka Orangi of Koroniti in another print (1/1-003097).
