Tenetahi, Rahui Tekiri, -1913

Born probably sometime before the 1840s. Woman of Ngati Manuhiri, Ngati Wai and Ngati Whatua. Woman of mana, ship owner and land claiment. Married Te Rua (Roa). After his death, married Te Heru Tenetahi, also known as Wiremu. Lived much of her life on Great Barrier Island. (See the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography, 1993, Vol 2, page 533.) The death of Rahui Tekiri Tenetahi is registered in 1930, dying aged 100 years [Source: Online historical BDM]
