St-Matthew-in-the-City (Auckland, N.Z.), St. Matthew's Church (Auckland, N.Z.)

Anglican church situated on the corner of Wellesley Street West and Hobson Street, Auckland. Formerly known as St Matthew's Church; in 1964 the name was changed to St-Matthew's-in-the-City, and now known as St-Matthew-in-the-City. The foundation stone of the present stone building, designed by the architect Frank Loughbrough Pearson, was laid in 1902. Subject of art prints by members of the Quoin Club 1919.
