HMS Renown (Ship : 1916-1948)

26500 ton battle cruiser built in Glasgow, Scotland in 1916. Extensive alterations were made to her during her long life. Served as royal transport for Edward, Prince of Wales on his tour of New Zealand and Australia in 1920. Also served as royal transport in 1927 for the visit to Australia and New Zealand by the Duke and Duchess of York (later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth)
