Burton Bros (Dunedin, N.Z.), Walter J Burton & Bro

Photographic business established in Dunedin in 1868 by brothers Walter and Alfred. Partnership dissolved in 1877 but Alfred continued using the name. Walter died in 1880. In 1883 Thomas Muir became Alfred's partner. In 1884 Alfred went to Fiji. He retired in 1898 & Muir was joined by George Moodie.
