Journalist, editor, bibliophile, writer, Catholic layman. Born Wellington, 1893; journalist with `Evening Post', `Dominion', and New Zealand representative for `Sydney Bulletin'. Book collector and writer. See DNZB (Vol 4, 1921-1940, p282-283, L6). Lawlor kept a diary describing his meetings, particularly with various literary, journalistic and artistic people, and there are extracts throughout his papers.
