Seddon, Dick (King), 1845-1906

Politician, premier. Mayor of Kumara, 1877; chairman of Westland County Council. Liberal Member of Parliament for Hokitika, Kumara and Westland, 1879-1906; Premier, 1893-1906. Married Louisa Jane Spotswood, with whom he had nine children. Personal papers also held at Archives New Zealand. See DNZB (Vol 2, pp447-451)
