Te Puna Services is a collection of online tools and services created with the help of New Zealand librarians to support daily tasks of searching, cataloguing, sharing resources, and managing collections.
Te Puna Services are only available to member libraries, and are delivered by the National Library to save time, money, and effort.

Te Puna tools and services
Te Puna Cataloguing
Tools and information for describing items in your library's collection or updating existing bibliographic or holdings in the Te Puna view on WorldCat.
Tools and information for sharing items between libraries.
Te Puna Records
Bibliographic and holdings records are shared between member libraries and WorldCat. The National Library has previously made files of MARC records available for the following:
- Items stored in the National Digital Heritage Archive
- Tables of Contents created for New Zealand published materials
- Bibliographic records (CIP) updated by the National Library
- Book awards data added to MARC records
Following the launch of the new Te Puna service the Te Puna team will assess the best approach to provisioning this data. If you have a special interest or use of any of these services please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Te Puna engagement
We’ve produced a plan for how Te Puna Services will continue to stay in touch and engage with New Zealand librarians. Have a read of the plan and please get in touch with your comments.
Our major project right now is to create a next generation replacement for Te Puna’s existing Voyager software. You can add your views and input on the implementation through the Te Puna Replacement Project Reference Group.
