The Carling Collection was bequeathed to the Alexander Turnbull Library by J. Carling of Mapua in 1960. It is part of the Turnbull Named Collections.
It is a small collection of 75 works about Joan of Arc in both French and English dating from the late nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth. The collection also contains some works concerning psychology.
